CHARLESTON COUNTY, S.C. (WCIV) — An annual charity hockey game held in memory of a fallen Charleston County deputy is slated for Friday night.
The game honors Deputy Joe Matuskovic and looks to raise money for the families of other fallen heroes, as well as current officers in need of assistance.
On September 8, 2014, Matuskovic lost his life when he shot was while responding to a call at a West Ashley apartment complex.

This is the sixth year that the game has been held, with first responders and military taking on firefighters.
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the Carolina Ice Palace.
A $5 donation is suggested for attending the game, but children 18 and under are free.
